HISTORY
The Railway Hotel in Mullewa, was constructed on Gray Street in 1912. This was a stone building which still forms the bottom story of the current premises. The second story was added in the 1930’s, and major modifications to the appearance of the building took place in the 1960’s and 1980’s. For decades the Railway Hotel has been a significant social centre to the town, outlasting all the other hotels of the boom times to be “the Last Man Standing” and as a poignant reminder of times now long past, a substantial symbol of the heritage of Mullewa.
